Project Description
Newaygo 1920’s Cottage
Renovation and Addition
Location: Newaygo, Michigan
Complete: 2004
Having spent the summers of both his childhood – and that of his children—in this 1920’s cottage, the owner of this project and his family had one rule: preserve its character! Out of a desire to extend and improve the usability of the cottage for year-round use, and working with existing roof lines, we were able to create a kitchen and bath addition that blended well with the original cottage. Reclaimed wood flooring, and attention to finish details at every turn helped to preserve the charm of the original cottage.
