INTERIOR DESIGN INTERN
Position Overview
We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to support our team of interior designers and architects. In this role, you will assist in conceptualizing and developing designs for diverse projects, working collaboratively with interior designers, architects, and clients to deliver thoughtful and tailored solutions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, and passionate about design, with an interest in community-based, faith-based, educational, and residential project types.
Key Responsibilities
- Support interior designers in developing design concepts and detailed project documentation.
- Assist in preparing visual presentations, drawings, and renderings to communicate design intent effectively.
- Research materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures to support project requirements and sustainability goals.
- Utilize industry-standard design software (e.g., Revit, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Adobe Suite) for presentations and construction documents.
- Participate in design meetings, taking notes and gathering feedback to refine and finalize project elements.
- Help ensure design solutions align with client goals, project budgets, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in interior design.
- Proficiency in Revit software for design iteration.
- Knowledge and experience with BlueBeam, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Portfolio showcasing design and presentation skills, with an emphasis on creativity and technical competency.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and an interest in energy-efficient solutions.
