Position Overview
We’re seeking a talented and detail-oriented Project Architect to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead the design development and contract document production for diverse set of projects, collaborating closely with clients, engineers, and construction teams to bring tailored solutions to life. The ideal candidate is passionate about construction science, professional growth, and collaborative endeavors, and will have a background in community-based, faith-based, educational and residential project types.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design documents and detailed contract documents, taking projects from schematic design through to completion.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to refine schematic design, ensuring alignment with project goals and client vision.
- Use industry-standard design software to communicate effectively and produce construction documents.
- Lead and/or participate in design and document reviews, incorporating feedback to refine and finalize project details.
- Ensure designs meet regulatory and safety standards while aligning with the firm’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited institution (professional degree).
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably within community-based, faith-based, educational and residential project types.
- Licensed Architect preferred, or in active pursuit of licensure.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Technical knowledge of Michigan Building Codes and specifications.
