The Kalamazoo County Land Bank Authority has a mission to repurpose, renew and reconnect properties in Kalamazoo County. The land bank plans to inject new vitality in this area of the eastside. Over 200 community members were involved in a study that determined that both commercial and owner-occupied residential uses were desired. The result was a plan to construct three mixed use buildings with ground level commercial spaces and 18 upper level affordable, income-restricted condominium units. The project is currently in design and is slated to start construction Spring 2022.
